Bachelor of Science in Information Systems

The Bachelor of Science major prepares students for all potential career positions in the IS field. These include: Systems Analysis and Design, Computer Networking and Health Care Informatics.

For successful completion of the degree, all students must satisfy the general education requirements that are explained in the UMBC Undergraduate Catalog.

The required program courses for the Bachelor of Science Degree are:

Mathematics and Computer Science

Administrative Science

Prerequisites:

For all students effective Fall 2002:

Completion of IS 300 & IS 310 with a 3.0 GPA and no grade less than "C", and IS 147 and Math 155, passed with a "C" or better are prerequisites for IS 410 & IS 450. Students may not repeat IS 300 or 310 more than once.
