- MBA Preparatory Studies Program
The BA program is designed for students who want a basic education in the use of PC-based office information systems. Another major, a minor, or a certificate program in a field of the student's interest must be completed along with the BA curriculum requirements to qualify for the degree. The BA degree is less technical in nature than the BS program and the focus of the courses is more on the user of office systems.
The Department of Information Systems (IS) offers programs designed to prepare students for careers in business and government as well as help build an educational pathway toward graduate studies in Business Administration.
The three program offerings, a Certificate in Management Science, a Certificate in Auditing for Information Systems and the MBA Preparatory Studies Program are open to all students. Students in IS majors—particularly those majoring in Business Technology Administration (BTA)—may find either or both program offerings desirable to further deepen their business management and administration knowledge.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL NON-INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT STUDENTS PURSUING CERTIFICATES OFFERED THROUGH OUR DEPARTMENT: You must see the IS Director of Undergraduate Programs for information and course permissions.
