Andrea Lorick honored as UMBC Employee of the Quarter

Andrea Lorick, Department of Information Systems Business Services Specialist, has been named UMBC’s Employee of the Quarter for July-September, 2009. The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 7th by UMBC’s Department of Human Resources which awards the honor four times a year to university employees who are nominated by their supervisors and/or colleagues for consideration.

The Employee of the Quarter is evaluated on criteria which include: a minimum term of employment at UMBC of no less than two years, “Exempt” or “Nonexempt” employee status, and contributions the individual has made to his/her department/UMBC. Along with the honor, Ms. Lorick received a check for $500, a special employee parking space, one day of administrative leave, a commemorative certificate, her name on a plaque located on the fifth floor of the Administration building, and an invitation to the annual Service Award Ceremony for all the recipients of the quarterly award.

UMBC’s Employee of the Quarter Program recognizes the outstanding qualities and contributions of employees towards departmental goals and mission and those of the university. The faculty and staff of The Department of Information Systems congratulate Andrea Lorick on receiving this honor.
